Although most of this website is intended as a portfolio for my work as a freelance writer, I decided to do something different with my blog. I’ll be jotting down some thoughts on proper grammar usage and the English language as a whole. One of my favorite aspects of writing is the structure that it operates under. There are rules for every aspect, from spelling and punctuation to document design. However, these rules are broken constantly to fit the needs of the reader. The biggest priority in writing is almost always to be understood. Working within the rules until it is necessary to break them has always been a fascinating topic for me.
